The Eastern Mediterranean Regional Pharmaceutical Forum (EMRPharm Forum) has an objective to increase partnership dialogue, understanding and engage with different world regions, enabling the pharmacy profession to have a greater impact on improving pharmacy services and health by focusing on distinct local needs.
Following the 2018 WHO Astana Declaration on Primary Health Care, the global imperative for further developing pharmacy’s place in primary health care has never been stronger. FIP works with its partners and members to bring together leaders and professionals across all regions of the world to progress this imperative. A conference, “Envisioning the future together: Transforming pharmacy for better primary health care”, was held in Amman, Jordan on 25–26 April 2019, which was the FIP’s first regional conference, organised jointly with the Jordan Pharmacists Association and supported by the EMRPharm Forum.
