The WHO-UNICEF “Primary health care measurement framework and indicators” report is underpinned by a menu of indicators to track and monitor progress in strengthening PHC-oriented health systems as an accelerator towards UHC and the SDGs. These are presented in more detail in the accompanying technical specifications.
Through two workshops that involved the FIP Community Pharmacy Section executive committee and the GPO team, we prioritised WHO-UNICEF indicators that can be reported as pharmacy’s progress by 2023, the fifth anniversary of the Astana Declaration and FIP’s Health Ministers’ Summit, while selecting and suggesting pharmacy-specific indicators for PHC.
